HOW THE MONTREAL EXPOS RELOCATED TO WASHINGTON [7/02/04]
For years we have begged and pleaded for Bud Selig to move the Montreal Expos to the most logicial location, Washington, DC. The capital of our nation, with over a million people within easy driving distance, has more money than they know what to do with. All of the negotiating and legal wrangling has failed miserably.
And then along came the strong voice of insanity, Oh Wow Look at This.com, to save the day. We go through life in a bit of a fantasy world. We play fantasy football and fantasy baseball. So, what's the harm in us taking it a step further by putting a baseball team in Washington. Who's it going to hurt? The good news is that it won't raise your taxes and it won't cause extra traffic problems. What a deal.
So, tune in to Oh Wow Look at This.com to check out the standings, game results, what players are hot and who's not, and stories about your own Washington Nationals!

BUD'S SECRET PLAN FOR RELOCATING THE MONTREAL EXPOS - THE "ROVERS"
Our crack reporters in the field uncovered evidence that Bud Selig had another idea of what to do with the Expos. This is shocking, but, when you think about it, it's pure Bud Selig.
[8/01/03]
From the secret files of Bud Selig:
Every time the Expos set foot on the Montreal's home field, Jarry Park, Major League Baseball loses money. Most cities could not come up with enough money to buy a team, but they sure could "rent a team" for a three game home series.
So, to correct this problem, change the name of the Montreal Expos to simply
the "Rovers" for purposes of putting them in the standings. All of the player
uniforms are equipped with velcro on the front so that you can easily change the city name
to the name of the sponsoring city. When they are at an away game, that is, a city
that has an established team, they slap on a "rent this space" ad on to the
velcro strip with Selig's phone number under it.
Think of the opportunities for increasing the TV and radio revenue. Local stations all
over the country would love to cover "their local professional baseball team". I can see it now. Come see your own "Boise Bozos" play the Milwaukee Brewers tonight at the Boise High School field. With all of their different host cities, they could become a true "America's Team".
The "Rovers" could haul all of their equipment and even their families in
semi-trucks rented from Barnum & Bailey's Circus and just travel from city to
city.
Yes sir, let's get this circus on the road!
